Course Description

Vessel Examination introduces students to safety requirements, laws, and policies applying to recreational vessels.  Students wishing to obtain their Vessel Examiner qualification should complete this course.

Vessel Examiner Qualification REquirements

The Vessel Examiner Qualification is not required to pass AUP 240.  AUP 240 prepares the student to perform Vessel Safety Checks.  To fully qualify as a Vessel Examiner in the Auxiliary the student must complete:

• AUP 240 - Vessel Examination; and
• Five (5) Vessel Safety Checks under the supervision of a qualified examiner.
